Hello, I’ve just found this thread while browsing the forum. That would be me I guess… I tried to contact you on “spam” email found on pofo.de, cause that was the only one I’ve found there, but never got any answer.
I’ve found remains of two P8000 systems (totally unrelated to RetroNora's system): - 16-bit board P8000 - more or less intact - 16-bit board P8000 compact - damaged - Uhr card - MFM controller
My main question was whether it is possible to get to 16-bit board ROM monitor using one of it’s serial ports, or do you have to connect through 8-bit board console port, to get in to the 16-bit one? I would like to somehow test my 16-bit board (undamaged one), to see if it’s working or not. Another question would be about availability of WEGA install floppy images, but this is too far ahead, as I’m not even sure what is the state of the parts I’ve got, and I don’t have an 8-bit board... I would like to build a working P8000 system, even if I would have to assemble it on a piece of plywood (I have only PCB’s), but finding an 8-bit board for sale may be difficult. Still, I will hunt for one, maybe something will pop up, just as these 16-bit ones did.
