Hi,

I'm fan of Robotron old computer product from Poland. I've same rare units like EC1834 with big Robotron trackball, almost complite PCB of K1630 (with total documentation-20kg- from big instalation in Poland) and 2pcs. A5120 with.. bad CRTs. This forum is superb for persons like me, I think. So, I need help with A5120 CRT tubes. I have schema of K7222.13 monitor, but this monitor was poor designed and now I want put NEC Multisync CRT. I don't know which model will work fine with A5120. Is any body, who use A5120 with other CRTs?

Yes, I'm using the 1920 Char. Display Card in conjunction with an 10" Monitor from an remote monitoring System.

The horizontal and vertical frequencies from the A5120 are almost identical to them from an CCIR TV Set, so you have to use an old NEC Multisync III or an TV Set to get a picture.

I don't think that you have bad CRT's in the A5120 Monitor, I think the
Horizontal Output Transformer ist bad. Thats not a bad Desing, but tha long time stability of the HV Isolation used, wasn't known at the production time.

BTW: Do you have any Kind of Operating System Software for the K1630?
We are urgently searching for an OS for the K1630 saved from the Thierbach
Power Plant.

I'm sorry for that... Few months ago I had realy problem with spam. I don't spend a lot time on the PC... I log on this forum first time yesterday.
K1630 was quite big system, which was installed in TU Wroclaw. I have some of 14" disc with software and (propably) many tapes for this mainframe, but I don't know what software is on it. I only sold original pack of K1630 Fortran to Spain a year ago.
Thanks for help, monitor from Commodor is good alternalive.

Can you *PLEASE* check what is on the tapes, at least while reading the tape Labels?

It seems, that there are no chance left to get the OS Software from elsewhere...

Die Aktion ist nun zu einem guten Ende gekommen:
Wir haben kürzlich die K1600-Magnetbänder und ein paar Wechselplatten in Wroclaw abgeholt.
