Hello everyone, i am a new Italian KC85 user.. i have sure a broken KC85.. please any people can sayed me where found electric scheme / datasheet for kc85/4 computer? Also the correct pinout for video, tape, keyboard ecc..? Thanks at all . Hermann

please visit the link-site and enter kc-labor or www.mpm-kc85.de. sorry for my not good englisch, i have russian in the school.

by ulrich zander webpage find the data-sheet from the av-output with rgb-switching for tv input.

the data from the kc 85 can with KCLOAD from soundgard/pc playing, you devloment kabel.

Thanks Ralle, i discovered that power supply is broken.. please, there is a people that can send me a pdf, link ecc.. of electronic scheme/datasheet of kc85/4 internal power supply? I try at found in many KC85/4 site but google no ever is good in traslation and obvious all in german language.. i sayed impossible found a KC85/4 German user that know Italian language :-)

Hello Astharot!

In this power supply very often the fuses and/or the clamps they are mounted in fail. If the fuses or tin clamps are covered with something white or greenish you should replace both of them, even if the fuse itself is not broken. Another well known issue is the power switch itself,

Hello Astharot,

The glasfuse from the power-pcb is a little problem.

This translate with Babylon: You please use the fuse soldered directly to the solder side, since the holder not much good. As a fuse is a 2.5 amp fuse purely, characteristic quick

News news.. Thanks at all.. i fixed the power supply and now i have correct volt.. but for my unluck the kc85 shiow black screen.. now i no understand if problem is video modulator or mother board.. i looked rgb out used a strange connector.. maybe can sayed me where i can found (and purchase) the plug for video in this mode i build a cable rgb- scart ? If hope is broken only the video modulator RF :-p

Does the modulator generate the RF und does the TV receive the genereated RF? Or doesn´t it generate RF at all?
If it generates RF, the TV receives it and only the modulation is missing, than probably the modulator is ok and the KC itself isn´t working properly.

It seems, that in Your case an oscilloscope would be a very useful tool. Maybe You could lend one from a friend? Without appropriate measuring tools it is very difficult to repair such a computer.

Hard to find an origial spare.
Take an old ISA connector instead and saw it to matching size.

Ci sono due uscite del segnale video:
- Prima Connettore RF sul cavo
- Secondo Connettore video sul retro

Uscita RF = UHF canale ~ 36
Meglio prendere un vecchio televisore con un voto a mano. Televisori moderni con spaziatura tra i canali a volte hanno difficoltà.

Esistono composito e RGB. Un cavo è descritto qui (foto).

Lo schermo rimane nero in tutte e tre le uscite, è possibile inviare il segnale /HELL (diagramma di pagina 3, D430D/13 e D439/9) bugia.

Nachtrag für Nichtitaliener:
Es gibt zwei Ausgänge des Video-Signals:
1. HF-Buchse am Kabel
2. Videostecker auf der Rückseite
HF-Ausgang = UHF Kanal ~36
Am besten nimmt man einen alten TV mit Handabstimmung. Moderne TV-Geräte mit Kanalraster haben manchmal Schwierigkeiten.
Videostecker - siehe hier
Es gibt FBAS- und RGB-Ausgang. Ein Kabel wird hier beschrieben (Foto).
Bleibt der Bildschirm bei allen drei Ausgängen schwarz, kann es am Signal /HELL (Schaltbild Seite 3, D430D/13 und D439/9) liegen.

Hello Freinds, news in my fix kc85.. i discovered that if i leave video board named 4484.898.02903l01 the led green system is light on. How i insert it the led blink for 1second and after remain off... however i discovered that my computer had more fixed and the main board that video board no in good condition.. now i must change the original connector because create more false contact. Sure i have pcb with wires cut... is possible sayed me where found the pcb pics of boards in this mode i rebuild the wires in correct mode. Thanks Ermanno

The video board generates the system clock. If it is disconnected, the CPU wont run and the LED will stay turned on. If the CPU is running, the LED will turn off a short time after power-on.(Someone correct me, if I'm wrong)

Some lines on the pcb were cut from the manufacturer, also some wires are original. Not sure about your board.
